a quandary ...

Is it truly better to love and hurt? Or is it better to avoid hurt altogether?

I would say it's better to love and hurt to avoid that hurt. If you avoid the hurt, you're never going have that excitement of loving someone and having them love you back...even though it may not stay that way! You were meant to be with that person for a time, you were meant to learn something from them. Even if you'd rather not learn your lesson in that way, one day you'll look back and realize it really wasn't as bad as you thought, and you've most likely grown closer to the Lord because of it. Don't worry Cheri, one day you will find your very good looking husband who will worship the ground you walk on! All of us girls are looking for that....and meeting the wrong guys in the mean time, even if we wanted things to work out with them so badly.

i love your new layout!

MUCH better to love and hurt. i once wrote a blog post about trials and pain, actually. if we don't go through these hard times, we can never fully appreciate the beautiful, happy times in life. i'm glad eve ate the fruit so we could know evil, instead of spending our live in the garden....BORING.

EASY - love and hurt. because then at least you get love for a part of it. avoiding hurt just means you never get the love portion. and that is the saddest thing of all.

I would say it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved.
