big bang theory cont.

I edited my favorite photo from my previous post, and this is what happened.

the big bang theory

Well, I decided to do something drastic. Okay, not that drastic. But, I decided to cut my bangs. I modeled them after this look by Reese Witherspoon:

but to replicate this more closely, I will need layers.

So, are you dying to see it? Here are some fun pics:

What do you think?

p-a-r-a-d-e

The senior officers and I were in the July 24 parade. It was a lot of fun. We had a pool in the back of our trailer, and all the other officers were jealous. But, it was fun and refreshing to have a pool. Except I got pushed in THREE times during the length of the parade. Here are some photos:

these cookies were a hit! I made them while at Zach and Jenni's, and I made them again today. The dough itself is delicious!! I took them to an officer meeting, and they were a huge success. If you need a yummy chocolate chip cookie recipe, or just want to try it out, trust me, you WONT be disappointed!!

images.

as i was looking for a picture for my last post, i came across this.

i don't need to say anything else, do i?

random thought.

I haven't updated in a few days, but I really didn't know what to post about. More pictures? Naw... Life stories? Not today..
Then, I realized...i REALLY had to go to the bathroom. "Where is this going??" you might ask yourself. As did I. But, here is the thing, every time I stay at Zach & Jenni's house, I drink so much water!! And not only that, but I LOVE the ice cubes. I crave them. So,I will frequent the refrigerator during my stay to refill my cup of ice (with some water). Alas, with drinking so much water, I think I'm constantly having to use the bathroom. I guess that's a good thing..

Like, once before a track meet, I decided I really needed to hydrate myself before the race as it was to be a hot afternoon. I would drink a big water bottle each class period, and then fill it up in between. Needles to say, I used the restroom MANY times that day.

Which brings me to another memory (even though this is NOT the day for life stories). In cross country, we try and stay as hydrated as possible for our 3.1 mile races. My first year, some of the senior girls posted the following posters in the locker room: "Clear pee is the key. What color is yours??" Anyway, it's always been a joke since then that we want to have that saying on our t-shirts, but our coaches won't go for that.

SOoo.. that's the end of my post. enjoy the randomness?

summer day @ the pool

Zach, Jenni, Lizzie, Becky, and I were able to go to a nice pool today. We had so much fun going down the slide (I'm not sure if Zach or Lizzie enjoyed it more!!). Here are some cute pictures..

fun fun fun.

My brother showed me an awesome website tonight so my sisters and I had fun making word clouds from our blogs! And my brother made one too. Anyway, Jenni's is really cute! Mine is a bit weird, but I like it nonetheless. Make one! It's quite addicting, but really fun and easy. And creative!

5 Things.

This is my "5 Things" post. Inspired by this blog.

5 Places I'd LOVE to visit:

*Nuku'alofa, Tonga- The temple in Nuku'Alofa has always been my favorite and I am determined to visit it once in my life.

*Boston, MA- I used to always think I'd grow up and live in Boston. I don't know why I was so infatuated with it. Perhaps it was because Sabrina the Teenage Witch went there for school and I loved watching that show. I don't know. Perhaps it just speaks as a land for journalists..either way, I've loved it.

*Hawaii- I've seen pictures of this beautiful place. I want to check out Pearl Harbor and I want to see the culture of this land as well.

*Virginia- I've been VA many times when my sister attended college there, but I never went to see any historical places. And I'm a history nerd! So, I need to check it out.

*Chile- Been there once, would love to go again.

5 MOVIES I WOULD WATCH (OR HAVE WATCHED)OVER AND OVER.

*While You Were Sleeping- I have definitely seen this movie too many times to count, but each time I watch it, I enjoy it just as much as the time before.

*Dan in Real Life- Steve Carell is so funny in this movie. I just love the comedy and the little romance too. But, come on..."you are a murderer of love!!" just sounds funny.

*You've Got Mail- Love Meg Ryan. Love Tom Hanks. Love this movie. A bouquet of sharpened pencils? cute.

*Runaway Bride- I think this movie is great. It never ceases to make me grin. Richard Gere. Julia Roberts. Great great great.

*A Cinderella Story- Oh man, this is one awesome film that will always be quoted. "You're not very pretty and you're not very bright. I'm so glad we had that talk." Tell me that's not funny.

there are more, but I'll stop there.

5 CD's I Can't Get Enough Of:

1) Marie Digby (although this probably doesn't count since I don't own her cd. But I can't get enough of her songs that I view on Youtube..so I'm counting it).
2) Taylor Swift- From "Picture to Burn" to "Should've Said No" to the classic "Teardrops On My Guitar", this cd is never going to leave my collection.
3) Steady & Sure- My cd from efy this year. It has an amazing rendition of Amazing Grace. And more.
4) Ingrid Michaelson- I love this folk singer. Mucho.
5) A Fine Frenzy- Once again, folk wins me over. I listened to her cd everyday for a few weeks when I got it. I was addicted!

Well, I hope you enjoyed some of my Five Faves. I would do more, but I fear this post is getting lengthy (and unbearable). So, auvoire. chao. goodbye.

tranquility.

Becky said that when she saw this picture, it made her feel relaxed. So, I thought I'd share it with you all. I took it on the hike up to the Y. I love fences (yes I'm weird) but I love the sunset in this picture as well! Enjoy..

the race..

my sisters and I ran in a race on the 4th of July. It was their first 5k, and I have to say they did wonderfully! They encourage me to run and keep running! This was my second 5k this summer, and I ran better in this one. I also didn't stop running (my goal). So, overall, it wasn't too bad. And I know cross country will help me even more.

marie digby

i found this song today. i love it already! weird music video though.

library recap

Today, while I was shelving my favorite books (the JER books..junior readers), I heard a little girl say, "[insert sister's name here twice], can you PLEASE protect my stuff?". It was so cute! She was adorable, and probably only 3 or 4. It made me laugh.

Here is what I have discovered since I started volunteering @ la biblioteca:

1) I like organizing/shelving JERS, JF, and YPs, but can't stand JPs (picture books).
2) The library has games you can check out. I didn't know that. (children's games)
3) I also don't like the J398's (these are poetry books..the digits get confusing J 398.20193 or J 398.2R2019...)
4) Even though I don't particularly enjoy shelving JP's, I have seen some very cute books in the process. Today I even took a break and read one. It was called The Undone Fairytale by Ian Lendler. It was so cute!
5) I love when I will be shelving books nearby a parent + child and the parent will say, "Don't take too many. You have to put them back where you got them." I'm almost certain the parent said this because 1) I was there. But it always makes me grin.
