pre-finals week...

....is worse than finals week itself.

why?

THIS WEEK:
-learning a chapter (unexpectedly) in Spanish in 3 days (instead of the usual nearly 2 weeks)
-being busy everyday from 1-6ish (after classes)
-having 4 tests
-final project. cause teachers do that.
-stress about where to live/what to do with life
-realizing i'm going to SPAIN in less than a month
-less than a MONTH.
-oh my gosh.
-packing for home
-no boxes
-wait, how am i getting home?
-SNOW...and then sun. bipolar weather.

vs.

FINALS WEEK:

Monday:

-test at 11

-free dinner at FHE

Tuesday:

-test at 9

-test at 10

and nothing, nothing, nothing the rest of the week :) except helping at graduation.....on Friday.

yes, you see? Finals week is RELAXING!

I just finished my project that is due for Tuesday's final, which basically means I only have 2 tests next week :) Hoorah!

my mom & i went to see Never Say Never at the dollar theater tonight. Worth the $3? Yes. I've been lovin JB for a little while now & have wanted to see this movie since it came out in February. But, being the cheapskate that I am, I couldn't rationalize seeing it for $8. Anyway, I'm so glad we saw it tonight. I was worried my mom would hate it ... but my favorite comments made by my mom tonight:

"That just gave me chills!"

"Aww, his mom is pretty there."

"He is cute."

"What a good message!" (referring to One Less Lonely Girl)

"He looks cute there, huh?" (referring to his all black outfit)

"I want his music."

"I need to buy his album."

"I'll definitely get that when it comes out on Redbox on May 13."

:) we're Beliebers. We have the Bieber fever.

peanut butter bar cookies

mmm. these cookies are amazing! if you like peanut butter bars, you'll love these. so quick & easy to make (and delicious to eat).

ingredients:

1 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup uncooked oatmeal
6 oz. chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients & place by spoonful on ungreased cookie shoot. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

**I made a half batch and still ended up with 30**

my friend posted this video on facebook & said it reminded me of him.

please note:

earlier on that day, i'd asked him the top five qualities he wanted in a woman. i'd also said i wanted someone who was honest, attractive (but not a player), and someone who got along with his family (and mine). well, he sent me this video later & i could not stop laughing (and watched it repeatedly).

much ado about nothing.

you know those times when there is just nothing else you can do?

you've tried to fix the fight.

you've tried to work on homework.

you've tried to find that darn DVD that someone misplaced instead of putting it back its rightful case.

sigh. it's one of those nights.

& i CANNOT wait until the weekend.

this weekend, after watching an amazing general conference and feeling inspired by church leaders, i went horseback riding at my friend's sister's house.

guess what i decided?

-i want to be a small town girl. is it too late to start?

-i want horses.

-i want lots of land

-i want my kids to gather eggs from chickens each morning

-i want my kids to know how to saddle horses

-did i tell you i'm taking a horseback riding class in the fall? oh yeah. this dream is coming true, baby.
