five things friday.

hello from the mac lab! taking a blogging break.

Today, I'm working on part two of my typography project. I love having to read about how letters were formed, how typefaces are created, and the history of fonts. #NerdAlert.

Tomorrow, I'm running the Cedar City Half Marathon. I'm a jumbled mess of nervousness & excitement. And I'm chugging water today like there's going to be a drought.

Last night, I visited this most beautiful place called Yankee Meadows. It's gorgeous. I've never seen so many stars in my entire life. Plus, tin foil dinners? Yum.

Currently, I'm obsessed with bands including Imagine Dragons, Modest Mouse, & Of Monsters & Men. Check them out. All of them. (Music Monday post worthy? Yes).

Fall is almost here. I can feel it in the air. And the thought of wearing boots (or needing to buy a new pair..), cardigans, scarves & skinny jeans ... is simply bringing a big smile to my face. Ooh, and those drives through the canyon with the changing leaves? Eeek!

Those are five things on my mind. Enjoy! Happy Friday!

{fall in cedar}

Autumn is my favorite season (as mentioned in previous posts). I just love the changing leaves! Anyway, yesterday I finally had a spare minute to get out and take some pics. So, here are {just a few} results. Also, a boy invited me to go into the canyon by this little river, so I have a few shots from that as well. I love this time of year!

vintage..?

ok. i'm obsessed with making my photos look old or antique-ish.

so, here is my latest favorite:

so, basically...

I cannot wait for fall.

Seriously.

Last week at the store, I bought a bag of candy corn. It was only $1.88. I was determined to save it until October. Then, Sunday night rolls around and even though I had fought of many cravings the week prior, I held off no longer. I opened that bag and enjoyed. In moderation. This week I've taken a few (handfuls) each day to class and they've been a delightful treat. I even took them tonight with me to the library, where I am currently studying for my nutrition test.

Anyway, my reason for this post was inspired by this recipe. I don't know about you, but cinnamon carmel corn shouts "fall" and it also alerts a few of my senses.

I cannot wait to bust out my box of winter clothes, tucked safely under my elevated bed. My boots have been calling my name for a few days now, but it just hasn't been quite cold enough to wear them yet. It's chilly in the morning, but heats up by mid-afternoon. Man, I love fall. Especially the crunching leaves. Oh I can just imagine walking to class now with my feet crunch-crunching as I walk.

I better stop blogging, and just finish up my studying. Hooray for the upcoming season! My favorite.

a bouquet of sharpened pencils.

It's that time of the year again! Can you believe that it is nearly OCTOBER? I love autumn. And what a pleasant word- autumn. I'm so excited because I have a photography assignment and I'm going to go up to snowbasin and take some awesome pictures. I'll be sure to post them too!

Here are my favorite things about this season:

-The colors! Burnt orange, mustard yellow, crimson...ahh
-The crunching of leaves under your feet
-Fall decorations: scarecrows, pumpkins..
-The crisp air.
-It's jacket weather :) And I love this red pea coat.

And isn't this a beautiful picture (that i didn't take)? Ahh..fall.
