sneak peak.

{photo taken somewhere in the beautiful Tennessee mountains}

i'm back from my first (hopefully not last) summer adventure.

How i loved North Carolina, and the road trip back to Utah was amazing. I visited Nashville, Nauvoo, the St. Louis arch, and other wonderful places. I'm trying to select some of my favorite pictures, but it's pretty hard when I took nearly 1,000 (hey, I was gone for over 2 weeks, seeing awesome sights. Give me a break!). I promise an update (with a LOT of pics) soon!

carolina skies

I've been in North Carolina for 2 days now.
Guess what? I love it! The trees, the food, the southern twang, the humidity.
So far I've:
--hung out with family
--gone shopping (found killer deals including $1.99 swimsuit)
--visited with old friends
--driven my brother's jeep wrangler around, and have fallen in love with convertible vehicles when the sun is shining
--wished to have my southern accent back, and have loved soaking in every "ya'll" and "cut the light" that I can. I also have pretended to have a southern accent when I am in stores.

To do:
--eat hush puppies, Carolina BBQ, and drink Cherry Lemon Sundrop
--visit my old neighborhood + swim in neighbor's pool
--make a trip to Charleston, SC with SIL Ange (and soak in the beach + history)
--more polaroids
--go to a shoe outlet (with $5 shoes...maybe I better avoid this ;) )
--spend more time with family + friends

Well, tomorrow starts early with a trip to davidson, where my old bestie goes to school. Then, it's back to my old stomping grounds, Gastonia. Stay tuned for pics :)

happy 400th post.

i just realized this is my 400th post! holy schmoly (yes i made that word up).

good news?

i love to travel. actually, i love the thought of traveling, while I don't do much travel myself. But today folks, is a magical day! I booked a plane ticket to my beloved ex-home, North Carolina! The funny part is that I opted for a longer flight, just so I could have a (random) layover in New York. It's only a few hours, but at least I can say that I've been there :)

I'm so excited to visit family & friends in just a few short weeks. Here's to finals....can't wait for May!
